Africa by Penn Jolliffe 2008 ©
Surely the taste of Africa,
still lingers in your souls
Forever it will embrace you
No matter how far you roam.
It will be the cry of Africa that
will always bring you home.
Sweet is the smell of the bush
Sharp is the sun
as it passes its day across the plains
Silent is the air
Nothing moves
Not even a leaf twitches
For all is hidden.
So!
Africa calls
For all are entranced
Caught up in its magic
The soul stirs awake
For all is not told in Africa.
It will be you Heart for Africa
that will always bring you home.
